Technology is important for many reasons. One of the reasons is because technology and you need technology to move on from other things like electronics in computers and other things. Technology has changed over the last five years in a lot of ways. One thing that just in the last 5 years that got popular was touch screens. They have been around but they have not been used that much because of expense to make them. Now with the technology able to make them they are a lot cheaper so many people can have them. I think technology in the next 5 years will change by every cellphone being a smartphone and most likely touchscreen. I also think that computers will be a lot smaller and probably much faster online. The type of technology that we use for schoolwork consists of a lot of things on the computers. One thing we use is Microsoft. There is more than one type like word, excel and so on. We also use things like google docs and flickr and things like that that are online. I use a lot of type of technology for my personal use. At home i use the internet quite often and i use my cellphone and ipod and many other things that are like that for my personal use. Some of the tools that i will use that i learned from this class is probably mostly google docs for other school projects next year. I will also use the blogger information that i learned if i ever make a blog. I think the most practical on for lifelong learning is the overall use of the internet and websites and how to use them because thats what you will be using mainly. Some of the tools that i think i will never use again is probably the digital story telling. I dont think i would ever use that again because if i ever want to make a presentation i will just make a power point. The tool that was my most favorite to create was digital story telling again. I dont think there is much use for it but i think it was actually fun making. My least faverite tool was probably doing things on blogger. It is useful but i thought it was very boring.

Screenr.com was the screencast that i used second and it was very easy to use. I think it was a little more user friendly because it was easier to upload than the first one. I liked it better because of the ease of uploading it.

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration. The term screencast compares with the related term screenshot where screenshot is a picture of a computer screen, a screencast is essentially a movie of the changes over time that a user sees on a computer screen, made with audio narration. The things I like about creating it is that it is easy to use and you can put it anywhere where you are viewing on your computer. The only dislikes that i have about it is the sound quality is not that great. It could be helpful to me if i am doing something that i might forget how to do on the computer and then when i forget, i can just watch the video and remember again. I think it would be most helpful to a teacher trying to grade something that was made.

I think that both of the documents are very similar. The biggest thing i found that was different is that google docs automatically saves what ever you did on it and windows does not. Another thing is google docs is much easier to share because you can just write down the persons email address and share, nothing else like windows does like making you do a security check. The only other thing that i noticed was the appearance of the two.

Smartphones are used more for facebook than computers

Facebooks mobile usage is rising and more people are starting to use smartphones on facebook more than actual computers. Users spend an average of 441 minutes just on facebook in a month. The average smartphone user spends more time on facebook than any other social network. Over 78 million people go on facebook monthly just on smartphones. Facebook helps with phone companys because more people will buy phones to go on social networks.

According to the survey that i took, i have my top 5 scores that i received are manufacturing, Agriculture food and natural resources, science technology engineering and mathematics, architecture and construction, and law.Jobs that fall under my highest scored career are mostly mechanic things and technician facility jobs I dont really agree with these but i dont really care because im not sure what i want to be yet.

Review so far

Google docs is a application on google where you can write your documents and it saves them automatically. Wikis is something that you can save your favorite websites on and save other things on. Assisted technology is technology for people that are disabled in some sort of thing where they cant use the normal technology. electronic portfolios are document like portfolios that are made of the internet or computer.

I like that google docs automatically saves your work. I dont dislike anything about it. Yes i like being able to work on it as the same time as my partner because you can work together on it. As far as improving it i dont think they could do anything to improve it. Our project didnt turn out because nobody took the survey.
